Every Portfolio should have the following:
A dedicated table of contents page with links to each of the elements in the portfolio. I’ve created a quick mock up of what this might look like, but it doesn’t have any links.
Links to each blog post
link to your project
link to your final reflective essay.
For your presentation, I envision a short informative or argumentative speech. So, your speech should be around 3 minutes. It should not be more than 5 minutes. If you have a visual aid, place that on your website, bring it on a flash drive, or make sure your computer connects to the cart/projector so that it is easily accessible to you in the classroom. (I’m trying to avoid several minute log in situations as time is tight to get everyone’s presentations done in one week).
So, there are a couple of different ways you could approach this presentation.
You could simply give the presentation version of your final reflective essay.
You could also think of the presentation as a way to practice articulating the skills and knowledge you acquired, honed, refined, etc. to a potential employer.
In your reflective essay you should answer some or all the following questions:
- where did you start in the class in terms of knowledge, thinking about AI, the sorts of questions we’ve asked?
- What did you learn about AI, about philosophy, about yourself?
- Focus in on one thing you want to highlight about your own development and/or thing you did:
What is the nature of this thing/development?
What tools did you use in creating this thing/developing yourself/skill?
What can you now do that you couldn’t do before/why is this interesting? - What directions will you take your thinking, skill development, moral development, etc. after the class?
Post your Table of Contents URL to canvas.
